If you have been following me on Twitter and/or Instagram, you will know that I had been talking about having a separate blog to share my photographic passion.  I love art in all its various forms and am lucky to have come from a literary, artistic and musical background.  I have been lucky to have some degree of musical and literary talent, but alas, despite my burning love for beautiful or interesting imagery, I cannot paint, draw or illustrate to save my life. This is why I am so glad that I am able to translate my love for imagery into capturing images, perhaps not through the pen, chalk or brush, but through the shutter button of my camera.

After some deliberation, I decided on the name for my new picture/photography blog – Girl and The Lens.  I felt this was rather apt as the imagery within will not just feature me in front of the lens, but also things I capture behind the lens.
