The natural hair scene in the UK is bigger and better than ever before, and getting better everyday. More people are embracing their natural hair & locs more than ever before, resulting in an increase in demand for skilled natural hair stylists, natural hair dressers and skilled locticians.
Who Is A Loctician?
A Loctician is someone who specialises in creating, styling & grooming dreadlocks, also known as locs. Whilst there is an abundance of hair stylists who have the skills to care for permed hair, relaxed hair, colour treated hair and even natural hair, there aren’t enough skilled locticians to meet the current growing demand. Every major city in the UK has an abundance of hairdressers, but such a shortage of skilled locticians that a lot of loc wearers have to travel into London to get their locs take care of.
Thankfully Xina Broderick, Director of Nature’s Parlour is here to help you hairdressers take your styling skills to the next level. Xina, winner of 2011 Miss Natural Hair UK (Loc Category), not only wears locs, but is also a VERY highly skilled loctician with a holistic and natural approach to hair care. She is offering a One Day Skilled Loctician Course aimed at hairdressers who wish to cater to their loc-wearing clients.
