So here’s how our hair-love story began:
- natural meets natural, on a Facebook natural hair page.
- Both naturals exchange pleasantries, gushing over each other’s hair.
I came across Yemi’s picture which she posted over on a Facebook natural hair page. Her hair looked so gorgeous, I had to compliment her . Well, what do you know – she thought my hair was pretty too.
After a series of chats, we discovered that in addition to our shared love for all things curly, we also both write blogs and she asked if she could feature me on her blog, right about the same time I was thinking of asking her if I could feature her on my blog.
Of course, I said yes and she also agreed to be featured on my blog.
It’s amazing how you can meet new people and the funny things people bond over – hair, of all things!
We naturals do have an unspoken bond – it’s in the way we smile at each other when we cross a stranger rocking their natural hair in the street – it’s in the way we share regimes & tips with each other.
